AMBER AUTUMN'S CONCHITA Conchita is the culmination of four generations of our breeding selection. With Peruvian Legacy, Pperuvian Guellermo, Peruvian Alpamayo, Peruvian Bonanza as great grandsires and four prepotent great granddams, we did not expect any less! Her sire Amber Tahoma is extremely dense, retaining great fineness, and his progeny are impressive and consistent. Her dam is a beautiful dark brown Laredo daughter with great density, luster, soft hand, and excellent maternal instincts. Conchita exhibits a soft handling, dense, lustrous, high frequency crimped fleece with incredible fineness as exhibited by her 2011 histogram: AFD 14.3,SD 3.1,CV 21.4,0.3%>30. At her first show, the Alpaca Breeders Invitational, Conchita won a blue ribbon. Offspring: On 5/9/2013, Conchita presented us with a gorgeous medium brown female out of Accoyo America Jason. ESTATES MAJESTIC KONCHAI won the 2014 IAO Color Championship (class of 25) and received numerous Blue Ribbons during the 2014 show season. On 5/15/2014, Conchita gave us a lovely medium fawn male sired by Snowmass Satin Reserve XX. On 7/28/2015, Conchita gave birth to a handsome medium brown male sired by Patagonio's Ernesto. On 8/10/2016, Conchita gave us a beautiful beige female sired by Snowmass Pure Passion. On 8/14/2017, Conchita presented us with a lovely white female sired by Snowmass Majesty in Moonlight. On 8/29/2018, Conchita gave birth to a pretty dark brown female sired by Patagonia's Antonio. In 2019, Conchita gave us a handsome light fawn male.

NEWS: SKIN BIOPSY RESULTS COMPLETE Dr. Evans "Albus highest S/P ratio ever tested to date" He has an S/P Ratio of 21.25! We are pleased to announce our partnership with our friends Joanna and Rob Stephens of RobAsia Alpacas. We share ownership is a fantastic young male with amazing potential - RobAsia's Albus. We have been very selective in purchasing breeding males for our herd. For us to purchase a white male meant he had to meet and exceed any of all of our expectations for powerful genetics, excellent fleece characteristics proven with hard data, and great conformational traits. We studied him on paper, looked and fleece samples, and then traveled to Wisconsin to see him in the flesh. We made our decision with no hesitation. Genetics: Albus is sired by Snowmass Quechua's Quest. Quest is an amazing combination of two powerhouse lines in the Snowmass herd, Snowmass Star Quest (Augusto line) and Snowmass Quechua (multiple herdsire of the year). Albus' dam brings just as much to the table with her Snowmass Invincble and Accoyo Caligula in her portfolio. A secret ingredient in Albus is the appearance of arguably, the most influential female in the Snowmass herd, Snowmass Maree Love on both the top and bottom of Albus' pedigree. Fleece: Beautiful! We studied his fleece samples, saw his show fleece from his last shearing, and studied his fleece on body. The hand on Albus' fleece is among the best we have touched. The character and crimp in the fleece is consistent from top of his head to his tail. Check out fiber stats. Awesome histogram on third shearing! Conformation: Albus is upright, straight, and demonstrates strong bone structure. His photos tell the story. Albus now has cria on the ground with our partner farm in Wisconsin - they are reportedly the best cria born at RobAsia. We have confirmed pregnancies here in Texas with the first cria due in early November. He is standing at Blue Gate from November 2015 until May 2016. Limited outside breedings to approved females. Females confirmed bred to Albus available for sale.

Description

In our constant search to diversify the bloodlines in our herd we were very pleased to find Majestic Konchai. She is a lovely female we rich brown fleece that show consistent character all across her perfectly proportioned frame. Her good looks are no surprise given that she is sired by Accoyo America Jason - easily among the best brown males in the North American herd as measured by his wins at AOBA Nationals. Jason carries the genetics of the great Accoyo males Camilio and Auzengate as well as some terrific dam lines from Phoenicia and Pucara. Konchai's dam is no slouch either. While we certainly wanted the Jason lines, the genetics on the dam side closed the deal with Legacy's Golden Boy, Guellermo, and Alpamayo. The result was simply beautiful. Konchai bred to Patagonia's Antonio, an amazingly beautiful son of Patagonia's Lennox. Antonio was 2015 National Brown Male Champion, and is the 2016 Invited Male Brown Color Champion. Awards aside, his fleece fineness and character at 6 six years of age is what convinced us this was the right male for Konchai. They produced Blue Gate Antonio Banderas -- a gorgeous brown male and farm favorite. Now Konchai is bred is to Albus. We can't wait to see what Albus and Konchai will produce next spring.
