Bodegas is seriously awesome. We have 7 babies from him from 2014. We expect 3 for 2015. We are breeding him to ALL our females in 2015 so 2016 should be another big crop of crias from him. We would like to have as many females out of him as possible to retain in our herd. His skin biopsy from Norman Evans is excellent. "Novel" is a 2x champion and they proclaim she is one of the most promising females in their herd. "Ottava" has beautiful fleece as well. Regarding Bodegas' fleece they say: "Here's proof of his phenomenal fiber! 8.8 pounds shorn- not including legs, with a 19.2 AFD and a CV of 20.5. The facts say it all!" We did a lot of research to find the right stud for our farm. When we found Bodegas we know we had found someone special. We are more than pleased with the cria he has produced on our farm so far and look forward to a growing number of cria from him in the future. We are very happy to have Contessa as part of the foundation of our white fiber breeding herd. She is a solid female and a good mom. Her 2011 cria out of Foothill's Bodegas, "George", is just loaded with fine, white, lustrous fiber. Her full sister, Uber's Egyptian Lotus is one of the top females at Foothill's Suri Alpacas. Update 9/6/12. We just had a super soft, bright white male named "Helado" out of Contessa (and TSP Accoyo Ice Man).
