Havana is a maternal sister to "International Supreme Champion", NeverSummer's Black Ice. (In the International Show System the "Supreme Champion" is comparable to AOBA's "Judges Choice"! When Dr. Julio Sumar judged Black Ice he called him "a perfect black alpaca". Black Ice was also a Futurity Color Champion.

Their dam, NeverSummer's Monsoon, is a lovely CMSG Silver Charm daughter who was a champion winner herself.

Havana's sire, Strider is the only known black herdsire to beat every color champion and some multiple color champions, with the exception of one white, at one of Canada's largest shows to receive the Supreme Reserve Championship!

Havana is one of our foundation females and a perfect example of our breeding strategy for "The Whole Alpaca" - A package of overall health and reproductive strength.

Offspring:
Just as we'd hoped Havana's first cria, born in 2011, is a herdsire quality, jet black, .38 Special son! Boy is his fiber fine and silky. It was a super easy delivery and Havana had plenty of milk. She's a laid back girl but still attentive - A perfect balance. An excellent dam.

Her second .38 Special son, was our 38'S FOUNDRY OF NEVERSUMMER, a gorgeous DB male born in 2012. 38's Foundry of NeverSummer is a multiple blue ribbon winner. We will definitely be watching this handsome guy as a future herdsire.

Why mess with success? Havana's 3rd son, ESTATES GRAY BEARD was born in 2013. Gray Beard is a wonderful MSG also sired by 17x Color Champion and 2x Judge’s Choice Winner, Aussie .38 Special. Gray Beard took home a 2nd Place ribbon at the Alpaca Breeders Invitational in 2016. Gray Beard has Blue Ribbon Progeny on the Ground!

Havana Nocturne had a rose grey male, sired by Chief Grey Feather, on 10/3/2014. Grey Feather has passed along brightness, fineness and density to each cria that has hit the ground so far! His Royal Lineage Includes Accoyo Legacy, Accoyo Grandmaster, Peruvian Naomi, Peruvian Nome, Peruvian Matador, plus many generations of black and grey genetics.
